Another one couple of pictures I have put on my blog page rather than a post so forgive me as I work to getting used to doing this. These little fellows were kind enough to just hand around long enough for a reasonably good photo. I love the claws on the chap in the second photo. Both giving me a watchful eye.. but with a 400mm lens I guess it is understandable. Both photos are using the rule of 3rds. I find that I have a natural lean towards it anyway. The top one is clear in the the bird is with the right 3rd of the image and both birds the eyes are towards the top right vertical and horizontal intersection if you were drawing the 3X3 grid.
Using the rule of 3rds can be really helpful in composing and positioning your subjects in a way that makes them more pleasing to the eye. These are photo’s that are definitely enhanced by the rule.
