Water jump

AN31: SS; SS; 1/2000, F stop; f/5, Focal point; 35mm, ISO; 800

Labradors and water are a winning combination and provide some brilliant shots if you can get in the right position and don’t mind getting a little wet. This young lady was a challenge to photograph as she was just so energetic. However I did manage to get some good ones. I am learning the skill of changing the focal length as I am shooting which is improving my good to poor shot ratio. It is imperative to have the highest shutter speed and am comfortable with the rapid fire and auto focus on this type of shoot. I decided, again for this image to remove most of the colour. The water and grass gave too much green and the water especially was quite a murky colour therefore didn’t want to distract from the shot. Her harness however is a great contrast to her black coat. I will be adding more of her photos on the animal page over the next few days.
