Dobie Dorks

I couldn’t do a website without devoting a whole page to the wonderful Doberman Pinscher. A breed that has had a bad wrap in the media when in truth they are an amazing, loving, funny and tolerant breed. Any Dobie owner or friend of a Dobie owner will know that Dobie Dork is a good name.. also known as velcro dogs or doberleans.. all with good reason. I make no apologies for this indulgence nor for the what may be less than great photos.

DD1: SS: 1/400, 5/5, 44mm, ISO:200 Canon 400D

This handsome devil was my 3rd Doberman. Sleek and athletic as well as a great poser. This is a proper calendar worthy shot

DD2: SS: 1/250, f/1.8 3.9mm, ISO: 20 – Iphone 7 plus

My beautiful Celli proudly showing you her gnashers and that very long tongue… all the better to lick you with

DD3: SS: 1/60, f/3.5, 21mm, ISO: 400 – Canon 400D

And this is our very own Celli, who is showing that despite the general consideration that Dobermans are in the top 10 intelligent breed, she will probably not make it into Mensa!

DD4:

This gorgeous dude was my very first Doberman and where my love affair with the breed started. Nanook is an absolute legend with everyone who ever knew him still recounting his antics to this day. Sadly he passed away 2001.  This is a professional photo that I have taken a photo of so no settings to give.

DD5: SS: 1/25, f/5, 37mm, ISO: 400 – Canon 400D

This is Celli’s twin sister, Bella. She has always been sassy and this photo was taken of her on top of our dining room table. She has always loved to climb… tables, crates, back of sofas. She is also a natural poser.

DD6: SS: 1/30, f/28, 5.35mm, ISO 200 – Sony automatic DSC-W215

This is Bella on the day she and Celli came home to be part of my family, ah sleeping puppies are the best… it is when they wake it all changes.. and even to this day she can be a… well lets say she isn’t lacking in the personality stakes.

DD7:

Another photo of a photo. This is Neo my second Doberman.. what a cutie. Sadly due to difficult circumstances I had to let him go, but he landed on his paws by ending up on farm with other dogs and the life of riley. Shiny pup.

DD8: SS: 1/100, f/5, 50mm, ISO: 200

This is Bella’s sister, Celli and couldn’t be more different in personality. She is a gentle princess who loves going in for flyby kisses of any child that is of kissable height. I have grown wise to this and stop her where I can as she doesn’t understand that not all children don’t like it or her!
