“Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time.” – Unknown

N1: SS: 1/50, f/4, 73mm, ISO: 640

This gorse was taken with some extension tubes to improve the ‘macro’. I have decreased saturation and added a white vignette to add to the sense of cold and frostiness.

N2: SS: 1/800, f/4, 105mm, ISO: 1000

This is a delicate composition that reminds me of an oriental painting. The early signs of spring are showing. I love the simplicity of the colours.

N3: SS: 1/200, f/5 43mm, ISO 200 – Canon 400D

The colours in this are so vibrant that I chose to enhance them even more. There is a black and white version below which I have cropped to add a different feel to the image. You can decide which you prefer.

N5 & N6:                                          SS: 1/640, f/9, 400mm, ISO: 320

I was thoroughly thrilled to get these shots and surprised at the settings.. the amazingly high shutter speed for a night shot without having to the ISO up really high. This does however show how much light is bouncing off the moon. I vignetted to the extreme on the right photo just because I wanted to see how it looked and have kept it here as I quite like it.. particularly with the moon not quite central.

N7: SS: 1/400, f/4, 105mm, ISO: 250

I found this little beauty as I was walking past a church in Norwich city centre. It was a really beautiful day and there were so many colours that I again opted for the desaturated edit whilst keeping the blues and purples of the flower. I like how it then just focusses you on the flowers and adds to the gentleness of the overall feel.
