Lost in thought

One of the things I really like about portrait photography is when you capture that moment where the person you are photographing has just, for a second, forgotten the camera and they share with you this moment elsewhere. This is a good example, my friend is lost in a thought and by the facial expression it is a lovely thought, they are inviting you in to that moment to share it and wonder about it. I am discovering that using props is a really good way to get people to relax and especially if they have brought the props themselves. This ‘giant’ mug really reflects my friends personality.
